CUB CREEK FOUNDATION, created in 2001 as a nonprofit organization of the ceramic arts, is a modern studio
with facilities for six interns. In addition to studio space, facilities include gas and electric kilns as well as a large
three-chambered noborigama wood-fired kiln. A visiting artist program is currently being developed for established clay artists
who might be in residence at the foundation for a few weeks or even months. Studio space and full use of the facilities will
be included.
Val Cushing, recognized as one of our foremost American Master Potters, opened the first "Workshop" for the foundation. Plans are underway for more workshops in the near furture. See "www.cubcreek.org" for details. Requests for presenters you would like to see should be submitted in writing to John Jessiman/Cub Creek Foundation at jessiman@ceva.net. Applications for internship should also be submitted to the foundation. |
