Mark Hewitt demonstrated a varity of pottery making techniques, including two ways of making large pots, throwing and coiling, and joining thrown sections together. He also threw smaller pots, including plates and bowls, jars, mugs, and ice tea ceremony vessels. After pulling and attaching handles on the pots that needed them, he trimmed feet on the plates and bowls. He decorated several pieces with a varity of slips and glass scraps. As Mark worked, he encouraged discussions and answered questions about any subject, from materials to marketing, from function to philosophy.
